Tomorrow I will be heading up to Iceland with a pair of photo colleagues for about eight days on a photo workshop.
We have been on several joint ventures previously but this will be the first time our little trio has joined a workshop. It’s also the first of our photo expeditions to a location that none of us has seen before and our first international destination. Given all of that, this promises to be an interesting time.
After the workshop I will be heading to New York City for about 5 days where I hope to meet up with a few fellow bloggers. The itinerary will probably prevent any postings for a while, but I hope to resume sometime after the 3rd week in September.
So, in the meantime, here are a few images from some of my previous photo shoots with my two colleagues.
Potomac River Rapids, near Great Falls, Virginia
Elakala Falls, Blackwater Falls State Park, West Virginia
Shays Creek, Blackwater Falls State Park, West Virginia

Yosemite Falls, Yosemite National Park, California

Clearing Storm at Sunset, Yosemite Valley
Have a wonderful time Robin! Can’t wait to see your photos. It looks like I will be in Kenya when you guys are here. I’m thrilled to be going back to the bush, but really bummed I’ll miss you and Leanne. A rare opportunity to get together and I’m sorry I won’t be able to enjoy it.

Hi, SUsan:
Thanks for the message. I’m sorry you won’t be in NYC but Kenya sounds too good to pass up. I’m sure there will be other opportunities for a meet-up but I also looking forward to seeing your work from Kenya.

Thanks, Greg: What I didn’t mention in the post was that on the three occasions shown above, the weather was a challenge. Incredibly hot, Incredibly cold, or incredibly wet. SHould be interesting to see what happens this time.

You are going to have a blast in Iceland. Hope you have your thermals packed for when those winds come slithering up your legs. Oh, and beware of their speciality “shark”, anything that’s been buried for a year DOES taste as bad as it smells. Have a fabulous adventure – looking forward to your captures! 🙂

Thanks, Joanne. Yes they are packed; I’ve heard about those winds. I have my heavier tripod as well. so I can keep things steady on those waterfall time exposures. Did not know about the shark though, I’ll definitely stay away from that. Thanks for the warning.
